Really? Never in history has an extreme overclocker NOT offered full scale clarity in a demo, let alone the number one chip maker. BTW this chip is a unicorn, so as you tout Intel's CPU as a real product, in the end will confirm the obfuscation of the obfuscation. So let me be the first to call BS.

Anandtech should be changed to IntelTech. They rarely review AMD based motherboards. Go read HardOCP if you want the truth
  • Ian Cutress - Sunday, June 17, 2018 - link

    AMD Motherboard reviews:

    Biostar X370GTN
    GIGABYTE AX370-Gaming 5
    MSI B350 Tomahawk
    ASRock AB350 Gaming K4
    MSI X370 XPower Gaming Titanium
    ASRock X370 Gaming-ITX

    Reviews in the pipe:
    GIGABYTE X470 Gaming 7
    ASRock X470 Taichi
    MSI X470 Gaming Plus

Gavin is our AMD motherboard reviewer, and Joe is our Intel motherboard reviewer. Gavin recently was put on doing some extra APU content (delidding, frequency scaling), plus sliced his hand open and has been out of action aside from a podcast edit or two.

    So you know, whatever.

The doctors and consultants said I shouldn't type for around 7 to 8 weeks...I'm already working on the next 2 x AM4 reviews, don't worry, they are coming!

    Please.

They showed Intel CPU's falling behind AMD's in their 2700X review and roasted Intel for not being forthcoming.

"One of our points to Intel was that the story around the 28-core announcement was not ideally communicated. (ed: this is an understatement) The systems holding the machines were not very well described in what they were doing, leading to massive amounts of speculation. "

Their conclusions are well written, well explained, and backed up by the facts.

Have you read our 2700X review? We were still writing as the deadline hit. The conclusion was completely non-committal for obvious reasons, so no idea where 'roasted Intel' came in - that was others taking our data and interpreting differently. We've since retested, did a test audit, found the issue, and the review is up to date.

'They showed Intel CPU's falling behind AMD's in their 2700X review and roasted Intel for not being forthcoming.'

    What? Intel not forthcoming again!?
  • MFinn3333 - Sunday, June 17, 2018 - link

I was agreeing with you and I just posted it as a new thread instead of as a reply! I meant my post to be a reply to the guy saying it should have said change the name to inteltech.

If you were biased for Intel you never would have published the results for the 2700X but you went back and to show your work. I was trying to compliment you.

You roasted Intel in your comments regarding them not being forthcoming over their overclocked 28-core system requiring absurd cooling efforts that would have required more money than some computers.

Great post full of useful tips! My site is fairly new and I am also having a hard time getting my readers to leave comments. Analytics shows they are coming to the site but I have a feeling “nobody wants to be first”.

Excellent Dialog, I Love it a Whole Lot. I am in the video industry, and sometimes I am looking days or months for options, but I'm always excited when I realize how successful and dependable Apple's ecosystem is (out of codecs, hardware, to applications ). Let us face it. There is not an ideal thing on the planet. For example, if Apple would let's change the battery laptop... that could be nearly gaudy.
