The US has more than its fair share of production facilities and labour there is simply too costly at present for it to be economical. They're paying what $20 per hour for unskilled McDonalds employees if I'm not mistaken. The global south is far better for inexpensive production assuming you mind the instability, violence, and poor governance - something the United States is trying to replicate with proliferation of guns and extremist conspiracy theory sorts that became acceptable lately due in no small part to a certain orange-tinted individual.Reply
The best way for a corporation, which is getting half or more of the money to build its factory from taxpayers, is to ensure that taxpayers don't exist and are replaced by slaves.
